Švyturio ‘Ekstra Draught’

Ekstra Draught (5.2%) is the legendary light lager beer of Švyturys, which undergoes microfiltration rather than pasteurisation before it is bottled and therefore retains its qualities of “live” beer. The golden-brown beer stands out with its thick white foam, well-rounded flavour, rich, smooth, long-lasting taste with a slight hint of the bitterness of hops. Many surveys have showed this top-quality beer to be Lithuania’s hot favourite. This type of beer goes well with chicken, pork, cold appetisers, jerky and smoked meat products.

Baltijos ‘Dark Red’

Švyturys Baltijos (5.8%) is a dark Märzen/ Oktoberfest lager. It is believed that the taste and colour of this “March” beer is remarkably similar to the first beer produced back in 1784 by German merchant Reincke, the founder of Švyturys brewery . In its own category, Baltijos beer has won the bronze at the World Beer Cup and was awarded the Grand Golden Medal at the international Siberian Fair.

The deep red amber beer has a sweetish, rich, long-lasting taste of caramel. The qualities of the flavour and taste of Švyturys Baltijos are best revealed when served in a special glass, which has to be wide and shaped like a bauble or a tulip with a sturdy stem. The dark Baltijos beer perfectly complements game and dark meat, oil-rich fish, blue and hard cheese, sweet desserts with caramel and chocolate.
