The historians often mention the diligence of our nation. The Lithuanians always worked hard, however they knew how to celebrate the holidays – traditional rituals and customs contribute to celebration. During holidays the Lithuanians loved to visit neighbors and relations, they loved to feast. The feasting tables were rich however the drinks were not strong. The mead nectar Šventinė (Seasonal), with 30 % alcohol by volume is a special beverage. It is of a mild taste and aroma, and of beautiful red color. The spiciness of the mead nectar is provided by the juice of blueberries, cranberries, and cherries. The drink is enjoyed by little sips from little shot glasses; it goes with sweet desserts the best.
